Conquering Two Areas! 7/16

Ok first off I just have to say, trio life is a party. Hermana Robinson and Lesueur are the greatest, we laugh way too often. Juggling between two areas has its difficulties, especially when it's literally half the city of Zaragoza and you know you won't be able to get to all the people. But we've been able to figure who needs our focus and balance between both areas. We fasted this week to figure out where we should be and which area we should work in the most, we've been able to find a really good balance. There is also a member in our ward who returned from her mission a few months ago and she's an amazing member missionary. We've been going on splits with her to get some work done in each of our areas and it's been amazing. In ward counsel all the members gave us the times they are available to help us out, so we have a lot of great support from the members as well!

The Lord is blessing us so much, the monthly fast with all of the members is still going strong. We have multiple people fasting a day now and they are loving it and we are seeing the fruits from their sacrifices. So a few weeks ago I told you about the women, Nancy, that called us. It was such a miracle because I had been praying for someone to call us and the next day she gave us a call! We met with her on Monday and we were able to teach her and her kids the blessings that come from living this Gospel, her kids are 14 and 7 years old and they just loved it! We are so excited to keep teaching them!

We met with our friend Javier this week. He was a man we met last transfer and invited him to church, he said he would come and ended showing up 3 weeks later. His mother and sister passed away a year ago and we had a member with us who's son passed away recently. It was such a powerful lesson testifying that he can see his mother again.

Last miracle, we have been trying to get in contact with a less active family for a while now and last week we were able to finally meet with them and their two kids. They told us they are ready to start coming back to church every week!! Yesterday we met with them and we set a date to have their 9 year old son be baptized. This family has had to go through so much and it's amazing to be able to help them come back with strong testimonies. Their daughter is also turning 8 in a month and the father wants to baptize his children and he doesn't feel ready right now so we are working with all of them!

So this week I've been studying a lot about our desires. It started off with working on the Christ like attribute of virtue. In Preach My Gospel it says that virtue originates in our innermost thoughts and desires. This is when I started to thoroughly study and analyze what my true desires are.

In the Book the Mormon it refers to "desire" over 200 times and in Ether 1:12 it says "I will grant unto thee according to thy desires, because of thy faith."

What an incredible promise, it shows the importance of being aware and working towards our desires. I have done a personal analysis of my desires, good and bad and I am now working to align all my desires to the will of God. It has been such a humbling process.
The natural man tends to want, property, prominence, pride, and power. Is is vital that we fix these and readjust our desires so we can receive what should be the greatest desire, eternal life.
I'll end with a quote and my testimony :)
"it is our actions and desires that cause us to become something, whether a true friend, a gifted teacher, or one who has qualified for eternal life" - Dallin H. Oaks

I know this Church is true, I know this is the work of the Lord. I love my Savior and I am grateful for every minute I have to be here. Love you all!!!

TRIO 7/9

Well what a week it has been here in good old ztown Zaragoza. There has been a lot of Rollercoaster, ad to clear up any confusion that there may be after seeing pictures of only three Hermanas together always, we are now in a trio!!! Haha there was an emergency transfer that needed to be made, Hermana Lesueur's companion went to Bilbao and we are now juggling between two areas and two wards! Haha it's bit a bit crazy trying to figure it all out, especially cause our areas are quite far from each other. It's great though cause we all get along super well and we are all willing to give it our all. We are going to fast and pray tomorrow to figure out where we need to put our time to help the greatest amount of people possible! It's going to be an adventure but it's going to be so great.

So this past week we met President and Hermana Galli. Wow they are so inspired. We traveled to Bilbao to have a short conference and get to know them a little bit better and wow it was incredible. They are complete opposites from the Dayton in many ways but it is all just so perfect and I know they are going to bless this mission immensely!

This week we have seen so many miracles! the ward is still doing the fast and we have had so much great feedback. Many members are talking to us about their friends and there was a member who gave out 14 Books of Mormon!!! Wow it's amazing seeing the excited for missionary work from the ward members. Also, we had to miracles on Sunday! the past few months it has been difficult getting our friends to church but yesterday we had two unexpected friends come to church! A man we contacted in the street about 3 weeks ago came by himself without saying anything to us! such a tender mercy seeing the sacrifices people are willing to make, this man's mother died about a year ago and is looking for comfort in his life! we will be teaching him this week! another miracle, we contacted a man, Jose, last Wednesday and invited him to church and when he cam to church on Sunday he told us that we cantacted him right in the moment he decided to turn his life around, so we are very excited to continue to teach him. Last miracle I wanted to share, there is a less avtive family that we have been trying to meet with for about 2 months mow and we were finally able to meet with them on Sunday, they were baptized about 10 uears ago and have been inactive for about 6 years and they are wanting to come back to church!!!!! and their Son, Benjamin has not been baptized! we are going to help them get to the temple to be sealed :))
I love missionary work!!!!

New companion 7/5

HELLO!!! Its been a sec! I'm sure you're all wondering what is going on here! Well I have my new companion, Hermana Robinson!! She is the absolute cutest, she is from St. George and SHE PLAYS LACROSSE!!! Wow, we are honestly so similar it's insane, she is hilarious and loves to laugh. She’s absolutely incredible honestly, I love her so so much. I'm so grateful to have her as my hija (sister)!!!
Wow, so this week we pretty much have been starting from ground zero. In the summer pretty much every one decides to go on vacations for months at a time so a lot of people disappeared. BUT we have seen sooo many miracles! We have some progressing investigators right now and we literally found them last week and they've already started progressing so quickly. We've found lots of less actives and they are coming back to church. We have also received a few referrals from investigators so it has just been miracle central this past week.
We have a progressing investigator David with a fecha (baptismal date) and he is loving the book of Mormon and has such a a real desire to change. I'm super excited to see his progression!
Wow the greatest miracle! Our consejo de barrio, Ward counsel yesterday was amazing!!! We have complete new leaders in the ward and they are all so on top of it. They are planning the "puertas abiertas" (open doors) for the capilla (chapel) when it's done being constructed and wow it's going to be amazing. Zaragoza is just amazing.
Love you all!!!

Many Changes in Spain 6/26

Well Zaragoza is officially the hottest city in all of Spain. Just a fun fact :) well we had transfers this week!!! It has been such a full week and we have seen so many miracles. A lot of our investigators have seemed to have disappeared, so we've been working hard to find!!!! And wow, we have found some amazing people!
My companion plays the violin so we decided to go to a park to contact while she played the violin! Ha at first it was really rough, just lots of "no's". But right when we were about to end, a girl walked about to us with a ton of questions. Her grandma is a member and she just wanted to know everything! We've also been able to find a lot of less actives and new investigators! So many blessings!

OK, now for what's happening with transfers! My companion is off to Pamplona and I'm staying here! I'm picking up my new companion tomorrow in Barc! I have no idea who she is cause she's a baby in the mission!!! I'm also super excited cause I'll be able to see President and Hermana Dayton one last time before they leave!
Our new mission president comes this weekend and next week he'll be going to every zone in the mission to meet all the missionaries!
We also have 2 new zones in our mission from the Malaga mission!!! So many changes and it's all so great!
Here is a quote I found in my studies that I love:
"the process of change, this is a process of evolving, becoming is the objective of the gospel. Change is the design of faith in Christ, repentance and baptism. Redemptive change happens by the power of the Holy Ghost. But it happens only if and when your heart is right. It happens only if you do not fight against God. It happens only if you unconditionally surrender your will to the Lord."
LOVE YOU ALL
