Hola familia!!!
Well this week has just been so full of adventures and miracles and
all of the above. We saw such a big miracle this week with a man named Santi.
His wife is a member, she was baptized about a year ago and she is such an
amazing member, so strong. They moved here from the Dominican Republic about a
month ago and they've been going to church in H'ospitalet even thought they
live here in our area. Well, Santi decided it was time to get baptized. He
knows this church is true and has the strongest testimony. We received this referral
from the missionaries in H'ospitalet last week and we weren't able to meet with
him until Monday. Wow, it was one of the most spiritual visits I've ever had. We
tried to set a date for the 12 of May for his baptism but he told us he wanted
to get baptized this Saturday! He is the most prepared person I have ever met,
he said his biggest goal is to be a worthy man and have the spirit with him
every day of his life. He told us that his next step is getting sealed in the
temple and him and his wife want to serve a mission later on. It is amazing to
see someone so prepared.
Flora is doing very well, her daughter had a fever and wasn't able
to make it to church this past Sunday. So she has a date for her baptism on the
12th of May and we have a week ahead of us before her baptism. We taught her
about temples and were getting her started on working on her family history and
she loved the idea of it!
I haven't said much about Khaoula. She is a 20-year-old from Morrocco
who speaks perfect English! Hermana Dayton actually met her and sent us her number.
She is the greatest person. She told us she doesn't know anyone here and it's
hard cause she only speaks English. So she has been coming to all of our
activities and last last Sunday she came to church and absolutely loved it!!!
This past Saturday we had an activity in the ward, it was called
Oscar's night and all the organizations of the ward had to perform a little
skit from a movie. Well, of course we performed something amazing. We changed
the songs from frozen and did a little skit with it. The elders were Elsa and
Anna and I was Hans and my companion Kristoff. I'll send pictures!
Well I would love to share with you one of my favorite Scriptures:
2 Timothy 1:8
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of
me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel
according to the power of God;
I love my Savior and I am forever grateful for the testimony I have
of Him, and I want to share that love I have for Him with all for the rest of
my life.
Love you all!
Hermana Bangerter
