"The Nudge to act" 10/1

How are you all doing? Can I just say I'm sooo excited for conference next week!!! Just counting down the days.

This week has been full of traveling, fasting, and lots of prayer!
The week starts off with one of my favorite moments I've ever had on the mission. On Monday I took a plane to Barc for the Mission leadership counsel meeting. Well I was able to spend my preparation day in Barc on Monday and on Tuesday we had our meeting. But as you know Barc was my old area so I had made some plans to see my friends! Well we planned a little family home evening with, Hazel (Phillipines) who was coming back to church when I was in Barc, Ana (Spain) who is a recent convert, Khaoula (Morraco) who is investigating the church, and Elsa (China) who is also a recent convert. We started off with a prayer in Arabic and ended with a prayer in Chinese! As we were sitting there talking it was pure joy to listen to each person's individual progression between receiving patriarchal blessings, planning trips to go to the temple, being involved in the ward!
What a blessing it is to see people from all of the world come together and progress together in the Gospel. God's work is real and He is gathering Isreal!

Well here in Vitoria the work is going very well. We have many friends who have been coming to church for months and who are very ready they just have one thing stopping them from Baptism. So as a companionship we fasted and as a ward we have started a month long fast for the missionary work! So we have lots of miracles waiting for us here in Vitoria!!

One miracle that we had as an answer to our fast and many prayers was yesterday! So we are currently working with a family from Peru the Mom was baptized 7 years ago and was inactive for most of that time but she's coming back to church and she has 2 kids we have been working with. They are both great kids but they are super shy and it's been hard to get Marcos her son to open up with us so in coordination this week we came up with the idea to have the Elders quorum president tell him that he wants to baptize him. On Sunday Marcos came up to us super excited saying he's getting baptized on the 13th! It was such an inspired idea and great support from the ward! We will be having members fast for the work everyday for the next month so I know we will be seeing some great miracles!

This week a big focus of my studies has been the Spirit. Ever since last conference I have been doing my best to be able to receive that personal revelation that our Prophet asked us to receive daily in our lives as I have done this I have grown in many aspects and have been able to see the many different ways that the spirit works in my life personally and in this great work. I wrote down some of these experiences we can have on a daily bases.
Ways I have felt the spirit:
-every time I kneel down to pray, especially when I ask for forgiveness in my prayers. Using the Atonement daily brings the spirit so strongly to our lives.
-when I listen to or bare a sincere heart felt testimony
-when I'm listening to music, especially musical numbers.
-the spiritual "rush" that comes when we study the scriptures diligently and allow the spirit to teach us. God communicates with us through the scriptures!!!
-The warning! If there is a temptation the spirit will ¡always! tell us not to do it before hand. It's up to us to recognize it and act on it. Many times it's something that doesn't seem too harmful. (I've learned that this requires lots of practice and humility)
-the comfort, the moments I have felt the most alone and I plead to my heavenly father to feel of His love the spirit has testified to me that I am never alone. The savior is always on my side.
-The Nudge to act. This is something I had to learn very early on. As I walk down the street and I feel a nudge to talk to someone ACT, there is nothing bad that can come of it, in fact, miracles may come of it!

There are many other ways and circumstances that we can feel the spirit but as you can see, just as the Prophet said, it is vital in order to survive spiritually in this time.
So I want to invite you all to ponder on the ways you have felt the spirit and makes the changes necessary to have it guide you daily. Dieter F. Uchtdorf told us that we should never go a day without acting on a prompting of the spirit. If you don't know how, ASK and you will RECEIVE.

I love you all!
Que tengan una buena semana!
Les quiero <3
