Hola!
I can check my email everyday, but I can only email back on Thursday, so send me funny things that happen in your life or an inspirational thought for the day, and lots of pics! Thanks!
It's crazy I feel like there is so much to write about! Well I saw Jimena!!!!!! That was definitely a highlight. I asked my mission president if I could see her and he immediately said yes! He's a great guy! He just knew I had to see my bff. So I was able to send her a quick email on Thursday and she walked around the park until we found each other, which is amazing because its a huge park. I was hoping to see her this weekend but we’re not going to the park this Saturday, apparently it's worldwide gay pride week and it's all centered in Madrid so it would be a little crazy. There have been over a million people who have come to Madrid this week! Speaking of the park, it was scary, fun and eye opening, we had to go up and talk to people who speak little to no English and we speak little to no Spanish. It was definitely a crazy experience. I pretty much just stood there saying si si and then I tried to give them a Book of Mormon. Haha it was a struggle. But I'm so glad we are doing it because it forces us to practice our Spanish to people outside the mtc.
The girls in my district are amazing. It's only been a week and we are already all so close. We are seriously all so similar and we all get along so well. We probably laugh a little too much to be honest. We are all from Utah except my companion who is from Idaho and I just love all of them. There's Hermana Warburton, Hermana Fausett, Hermana Aase, and my companion Hermana Orr! They're all amazing!
So I got called to be the sister training leader for my zone, and it's crazy how it has changed my outlook on things. It's only been a few days since I was called and its been humbling. It's amazing how easy it is to share your testimony when you're not thinking about yourself. For example, on Sunday we had a small testimony meeting about the spirit and I knew I was going to share but I didn't know what about or when I should share. So I just said a small prayer in my heart that I would say what others needed to hear, I sat there patiently brainstorming and thinking about what I needed to say and about halfway through it hit me so strongly, I needed to talk about love. It was so clear, I've never been able to hear the spirit so clearly in a testimony meeting. And I'm so grateful for this calling so I can continue to listen to the spirit and say what others need to hear because I know that is what is going to help me in the field when I teach my investigators.
