Three weeks in the MTC

Hey everyone!!

It's crazy to think I'm almost halfway with the MTC! I've been here for two and a half weeks now! Time flies. I feel like there's so much to write and at the same time I have no idea what to write. Hahah

Mom, The president’s wife, sister packer is the sweetest lady. Every time I hear her talk I can't help but think of grandma Kathy. It makes me smile every time.

First, I'll talk about the hermanas (sisters) here at the MTC. I love all the hermanas so much it makes me sad to think we'll all be leaving here in a few weeks. All the girls in my district are going to Barcelona except for one who's going to Malaga. And Brit the picture you sent me of all of the sisters at the temple who I met before we got here are literally all the girls in my district except the one going to Malaga. Heavenly Father really is amazing. It was because of Him that we all met before and it's because of Him that were all in the same district.

There is an elder here with cerebral palsy. It is amazing to see this elder who, has most likely had a difficult life, yet here he is, a servant of the Lord. Honestly, just seeing him walk makes me want to work harder.  He has a hard time walking, but everyday it gets better and better. The Lord truly blesses his missionaries.

So the temple is finally open! And there are two elders in our zone that are going through for the first time and I am so excited. They both speak Portuguese so we're having the session in Portuguese! It’s going to be amazing. We're going today and I can't wait!

It's amazing to see the miracles that happen here. Every night all of the hermanas say a prayer together. Every time we pray we ask if there's anything/anyone we need to pray for. A few nights ago an hermana said she lost a letter from her grandma, she had searched everywhere, and had been looking for it since she got here but couldn't find it. We asked in our prayer if she could find her letter and that night she walked into her room and found it within 10 minutes. It's amazing how much God cares, even about the little things and when our faith comes together, it's incredible the miracles it can bring!

Saturday, we didn't go to the park but we went to a random street in Madrid. That was definitely a lot harder than the park. It's a lot harder to approach people when they're not just hanging out on a bench haha. Most people just look down and keep walking but when they stop, I never know how to actually communicate with them. It's a struggle but I'm so glad we do it. It pushes you to use your Spanish and practice talking about the gospel. A lot of us get back from proselyting pretty discouraged, but later that night, we will have park devotionals and we talk about how we saw the hand of the God in our lives that day. I love those devotionals because it makes me realize how much the Lord helps every single one of us, even with the smallest things.

We went to the real Madrid stadium!!! The stadium is huge it seats 78,000 people. It was pretty cool. Haha I'll send you lots of pics!
