Tablet Stolen (8/18)

August 18, 2017

How are you all doing??

This week has definitely had its ups and downs. First, my tablet was stolen...and that was a gut wrenching feeling when I found out that it was gone. We are in the process of getting a new one because I definitely need the area book and maps and all of the above.

Well, this past week we really focused on getting to know more members, so we had eating citas (appointments) everyday. And when they feed you, its A LOT! On the bright side, the food is always delicious, I finally got to try payaya (not sure if thats how you spell it) but it was amazing. Anyway, the members here, like I have said before, really are amazing. There are so many that genuinely care and want to help with the ward. We are really trying to get in contact with the menos activos (in-active members) and help them come back to church.

We met with a recent convert this past week, from Ghambia. He told us his conversion story and it was incredible. His father is Muslim and did not like it when he was baptized. This affected his family a lot and it really shook his testimony, he stopped reading and praying for a little because his family back home was struggling so much. But after the missionaries had reminded him how important it was to continually read and pray he started to once again and he saw the hand of the Lord in his life, his family is doing much better right now and he knows it is because he asked the Lord and he is keeping his commandments. His testimony is incredible!

Well, I love you all so much and I’m grateful for each one of you and all you do. The church is true! go tell the world!

Love ya!

I don’t have any pics this week because well you know…L
