God's Hand is in This Work (8/7)

HOLA FAMILY AND FRIENDS 

I cannot believe this week is already here, I'm sure it's just crazy with all the wedding stuff. It's going to be so much fun having everyone together and celebrating such an amazing thing! Ah it's so exciting!!! I'll be dancing in the streets of Barcelona to celebrate with you! 

At the moment, we don't have a lot of investigators so we are either contacting, or meeting with in-actives, or members. It has been great and the members here are incredible. They are amazing, so patient and willing to work with me. I can't speak a lot with them so I have been showing everyone pictures of the family just so they can get to know me a little bit. 

Heavenly Father is amazing, everyday I pray for strength that I can do what he needs me to do. At the moment, I just need to learn…and learn…and push myself to get out of my comfort zone and that's what I've been doing. When we talk with others I try so hard to understand them and there are times where I can’t follow the conversation at all and there are times I can follow it perfectly, I know that Heavenly Father is helping me out. A scripture I have been relying on is 2 Nephi 32:9. It talks about the importance of prayer, if we pray always then God will CONSECRATE our efforts. We must put in the work and when the time comes that I need to teach or do whatever the Lord asks of me, if I pray and rely on the spirit then he will help me and consecrate my efforts.

I have a few examples of this, there is a recent convert here who's name is Abdel and he is incredible. He has such a strong testimony. He has been struggling a little bit and we had a lesson with him on Saturday. (I forgot to mention he speaks english) and during the lesson the things that I felt I needed to study the week prior came to my mind and it was exactly what he needed to hear. God really does direct us and knows exactly how to help us and others. Another example, yesterday we went to a members house, it was a pass by and we hadn't discussed what we were going to talk about and when we were with them my companion turned to me and asked me to share my favorite scripture, I immediately prayed that I would share the scripture they needed to hear and Ether 12:27 came into my head. Afterward (my companion later told me all of this because I couldn't understand it all) but the member said that it was EXACTLY what he needed to hear. It’s incredible how the spirit can guide us and work through us to help others.

Well I love being a missionary, Heavenly Father is amazing and I can't wait to keep learning more and more. Love you all!
