Hello Everyone,
Well, I can't believe it, next week is transfer week! My companion has been here for 6 months so she'll most likely be leaving me :/ I honestly can't believe it's already been a transfer.. it flew by! I’m halfway done with my training! There has been a lot of hard moments but I have learned a lot. I've learned so much and I will continue to learn how to completely rely on the Lord. It has been an important lesson to learn and I'm really grateful for this opportunity to do so.
I don't even know what has happened this past week, I feel like it was just preparation day! We had zone conference last Tuesday and it was exactly what I needed, everything they talked about was exactly what I needed to hear! They talked a lot about fear, and as missionaries there can be a lot of fears, it can be difficult to overcome these fears but I know that if we have faith they can be overcome. And this can apply to each of us in our own lives. Today, we were listening to the song "a child's prayer" and it said something that really struck me. "I am learning to be patient, and that you are really there. Sometimes I am afraid, and I know that's lacking faith, that for me, you have a plan." Each of us have our trials and we go through different things but what we need to realize is that if we continue to follow Christ and endure these trials with patience, just like so many people had to do in the scripture, God will help us. He really does have a plan for each one of us and he knows exactly what we need; we just need to continue to have faith in His plan.
This week we finally had some citas (appointments)! I was able to teach in Spanish! We met with a woman named Mayka and she has a lot of hard things going on in her life right now so we'll have to work with her a lot but she is very interested and she accepted a baptismal date for September 23!!!! She’s pretty sick right now so i just pray she will get better and be able to continue to meet with us!
We are also working with a new convert, Abdel! I've talked about him before! But he's amazing! He's been struggling a bit and I love just being able to help him understand the gospel more and more because I know it will truly help his life! That is one of the greatest things…Just being able to bring the happiness of this gospel into other’s lives!
So, the Spanish is coming a long, every day I can understand more and more! Speaking is difficult (hahaha) I had a member tell me I spoke terribly and that hurt; but I will just keep trying, and yes… I will mess up but I know it will come.
The intercambios (exchanges) went really well! I knew all our directions and I was able to guide us to every location without a problem! Hermana Nelson is amazing and helped me a lot! I'm so grateful for her!
Well I love you all a lot! There's so much more I want to write but I'm limited on time! I love you all!
